Welcome to Danbie
German Shepherds

We strive to produce high quality German Shepherds through careful selection, breeding and training.
Background Information
We are a small hobby breeding kennel located in Midland Michigan with the primary goal of producing high quality German Shepherd dogs from German bloodlines for people who are interested in a family dog as well as a performance dog. Our goal is to produce dogs that are mentally and structuraly sound and have a well rounded temperament with sufficient drive and motivation to eagerly participate in any activity or sport. Our dogs have successfully competed in agility, obedience, conformation, tracking and therapy work and many have achieved high placements at AKC and USA shows. Each dog used in our breeding program must have proven itself worthy of being bred by obtaining titles and have his or her hips and elbows certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals or the Verein fur Deutsche Schaferhunde (SV). Our breeding stock is healthy and free of any hereditable faults as represented by the World Union of German Shepherd Dog Clubs (WUSV).
Our puppies are raised in our home and not in a kennel environment and are spaced so that each litter gets individualized attention and are socialized with a variety of people, children and other pets. Every puppy is examined by a veterinarian and given the appropriate vaccinations. Each puppy is temperament tested and comes with a written health guarantee. We are always available to answer any questions an owner may have and are always there for continual support and friendship.
Debbie has owned, trained and loved German Shepherds her entire life. Together, Dan and Debbie have owned German Shepherds for over twenty-five years with Debbie being the primary trainer and dog exhibitor. Debbie started training and showing German Shepherds in the early 1970’s and now has added breeding to her continued love and passion for the German Shepherd Dog. Debbie is a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America (GSDCA), GSDCA-WDA (Working Dog Association), the United Schutzund Club of America, and the Midland Michigan Kennel Club.
